Auto rickshaw fares set to go cashless in Bangalore

Auto rickshaw drivers of Bangalore are set to receive payments via UPI QR code pasted on their rickshaws. QR based solution is provided to about 40 auto rickshaws on a pilot basis. Digital financial literacy session was also organsied for all auto drivers in association with Bangalore Auto Association – Auto Rickshaw Drivers Union. They were familiarised with zero balance accounts, RuPay cards, BHIM App etc. Post the success of this pilot program, over 30,000 autos would be enabled to accept cash-less payments for their rides.

UPI enables merchants and corporates to go cashless

Total Fitness stores have deployed UPI Static QR codes to accept digital payments across their stores. Total Sports & Fitness is a leading wholesaler/ distributor of sports goods, swim wear in India. In another development, Salasar Infoway, a Vodafone distributor have implemented UPI payments as a solution for the distribution channel. The firm is live on UPI for their value chain payments with the retailers.

BHIM Aadhaar goes live at CSC’s in Maharashtra

MahaOnline is facilitating digitisation by strengthening the penetration of Information Technology in various departments of Maharashtra government. Citizens can avail services and make bill payments through BHIM Aaadhar at Common Service Centers. BHIM Aadhaar pilot is live at 55 CSCs in Maharashtra. There are around 27,000 CSCs in Maharashtra which will be enabled with BHIM Aadhaar payment mode.

NPCI organises over 100 plus digital literacy workshops in August

NPCI team organised several digital training sessions in order to create awareness on digital payments and NPCI products. Over 130 financial literacy sessions were conducted for banks and other institutions in August and preceding two months. About 1,500 participants were covered through this initiative.
