COVID Mediclaim Policy for NPCI employees

While the existing Group Mediclaim Policy for its employees already covers medical expenses from COVID-19 infection, NPCI has enrolled for an additional COVID-19 specific policy with effect from 22nd May 2020 in order to ensure sufficient coverage for employees and family members. The COVID-19 Mediclaim Policy offers a coverage of Rs 3 Lakhs for each individual member (Self + Spouse+ up to 2 Kids) over and above the Group Mediclaim Policy limit.

COVID-19 Screening for Employees and Family

NPCI has tied up with Connect and Heal, through a corporate set up, to facilitate convenient COVID-19 testing for employees and their families. Employees can arrange a tele call with one of their doctors on +91- 9111891118 for necessary consultation. As per the need, the doctors will prescribe medicines / COVID-19 testing which will be conducted within 24-48 hours and the report shall be shared within 36-48 hours.

Isolation Facility

Isolation Facility have been arranged through tie up with various hotels across locations, in case self-isolation is required by any employee. In case of a need, the same will be utilized with proper precautions and safety.

Tie up with Hospitals

To improve preparedness against COVID – 19, exclusive hospital tie-ups has been arranged with Apollo Hospitals (PAN India) providing coverage across all locations. In addition, two separate Hospitals - Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre in South Mumbai and Vedant Hospital in Thane have also been brought under individual tie-up agreement. Considering the current scenario, hospital empanelment is done for emergency situation wherein NPCI employees will get preferential services (inpatient and outpatient). precautions and safety.

Formation of NPCI Family Support Team

NPCI has instituted a Family Support Team dedicated to ensure the required care and support is extended to all employees affected directly or indirectly by COVID-19. This team is actively working along with the local HR & Administration to provide all medical support and daily provisions to the concerned employees at their homes with the objective that the employee and their families are relieved of this responsibility while they focus on their health and wellbeing.

Immunization for Employees and Family

For an immunity boost, a Vaccination Camp and distribution of Arsenicum Album 30 medicine bottles was organized for employees and their family members. The camp was conducted in two batches on 5th and 12th June across NPCI offices. OPD facility for NPCI employees

Due to the current situation of COVID, availability of hospital beds has become a major challenge in metro cities. An arrangement has been made with Connect & Heal for OPD Facility with their partner hospitals and clinics. Employees and their family members can avail of six OPD visits per annum at partner hospitals and clinics.

Employee Well-being Programs

Online fitness and workout sessions are being organized from time to time, including the Yoga Session organized on 19th June 2020 facilitated by expert coach Srirama Mandava on the occasion of International Yoga Day on 21st June 2020. All employees are encouraged to take maximum advantage of such sessions & events and even involve their families to get maximum benefit.

Battle of Brain Quiz Contest

Online quiz competitions were organized on various topics every Wednesday starting April 2020 and the finale was finally concluded on 6th May 2020 with a quiz on ‘General Knowledge’. On an average 300+ employees participated in the online quiz competition.

Online Games Contest

The first ever Online Gaming Contest, Battlefield, has been launched in NPCI in June 2020. While most employees continue to work from home and are able to connect with each other virtually only, their interactions are mostly limited to work. Battlefield, the online game contest, especially the team games, has been launched to enhance the fun element in the official set-up as well as to allow people to connect and relate in an informal way, adding on to the team spirit in the organization. The contests also provide an interesting way of sharpening one’s mind and gaming skills. Online tournaments have been planned around three games:

  • Ludo
  • Carrom
  • Snakes and Ladder
