BHIM UPI clocks 76.97 million transactions

Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM) Unified Payments Interface (UPI) has achieved 76.96 million transactions in the month of October. The total value of transactions stood at Rs. 7,057 crore with the average ticket size of Rs 917. UPI volume (UPI, BHIM and USSD 2.0 -*99#) during October, September and August were 76.96 million, 30.98 million and 16.80 million while the value stood at Rs. 7.057 crore, Rs. 5,325 crore and Rs. 4,156 crore respectively.

IMPS clocks 88.12 million transactions

Immediate Payment Service which works 24 X 7 has achieved 88.12 million transactions in the month of October. The total value of transactions stood at Rs. 75,041 crore with the average ticket size of Rs. 8,516. IMPS volume during October, September and August were 88.12 million, 82.85 million and 75.66 million while the value stood at Rs.75,041 crore, Rs. 71,759 Cr and 65,149 crore respectively.

NPCI crosses 1 billion AePS transactions milestone

Aadhaar Enabled Payment Service (AePS) has crossed a milestone of processing 1 billion transactions in this financial year on October 31. AePS processed 424.07 million transactions in FY 2016-17. It is a bank led model which allows online interoperable financial inclusion transaction at PoS (MicroATM) through the Business correspondent of any bank using the Aadhaar authentication. Customers can use deposit or withdraw cash using AePS. They can even make balance enquiry, generate mini statement or initiate Aadhaar to Aadhaar Fund Transfer through this service.
