Changes in Directorship of the company

State Bank of India has nominated Ms. Padmaja Chunduru, Deputy Managing Director (DB & NB) in place of Ms. Manju Agarwal and Punjab National Bank has nominated Mr. Ambrish Kumar Mishra, General Manager, Digital Banking Division in place of Mr. Rakesh Kumar. Ms. Manju Agarwal, Nominee Director from State Bank of India has resigned from the directorship of NPCI due to superannuation from the Bank. The Board placed on record its appreciation for the valuable guidance provided by Ms. Manju Agarwal, during her tenure as Director of the Company.

Bharat BillPay website goes live

Bharat BillPay website was launched on Republic Day by NPCI’s MD & CEO in Mumbai.The website can be accessed through following URLs www.bharatbillpay.com, www.bharatbillpay.in and www.bharatbillpay.org.in. The purpose of the website is to promote and spread awareness of “Anytime Anywhere Bill Payment Service” to three core entities i.e. Partners (BBPOUs, Agent-Institutions and Agents), Billers and Consumers. It is also launched to create presence on the web and help in effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.Moreover, it contributes to the brand awareness and visibility amongst consumers about the product and ecosystem. Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) is a Reserve Bank of India (RBI) conceptualised system driven by NPCI that offers interoperable and accessible bill payment service to consumers via digital (bank channels) as well as through a network of agents and bank branches.
