BHIM UPI achieves half a billion transactions

Bharat Interface for Money - Unified Payments Interface (BHIM UPI) achieved the milestone of recording over half a billion transactions i.e. 524 million transactions in the month of November. The total value of transactions stood at Rs. 82,232 crore. UPI volume (UPI, BHIM and USSD 2.0, *99#) during November, October and September were 524 million, 485 million and 405 million while the value stood at Rs. 82,232 crore, Rs. 74,978 crore and Rs.59,835 crore respectively. BHIM is a mobile phone based app that allows simple, easy and quick payment transactions using UPI. One can easily make direct bank to bank payments instantly and collect money using mobile number or payment address. It is a unique payment solution which empowers an individual with immediate send and collect request.
