Bharat BillPay conclave

An insightful conversation with retail aggregators was organised at the Bharat BillPay’s Agent Institution conclave held in October. Mr. A.R.Ramesh, Chief Project Officer, Bharat BillPay presented key indicators and discussed way forward for Bharat BillPay at the forum. Bharat BillPay officials interacted with the retail aggregators to discuss how they could leverage the #BharatBillPay brand and encourage more digital transactions for bill payments.

NETC records over 21 million digital transactions at toll plazas

National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) achieved over 21 million transactions with total value of Rs. 466 crore in November. The total value of transactions during November, October and September were 21 million, 22 million and 20 million while the value stood at Rs. 466 crore, Rs. 500 crore and Rs. 470 crore respectively. NPCI is working closely with NHAI to enable digital payments at toll plazas and as a result, about 25 per cent of the total volume of toll collections are now through National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) programme.

IMPS marks over 149 million transactions

Immediate Payment Service (IMPS), the platform which works 24 X 7 has achieved over 149 million transactions in the month of November. The total value of transactions stood at Rs. 1,34,756 crore. IMPS volume during November, October and September were 149 million, 154 million and 135 million while the value stood at Rs. 1,34,756 crore, Rs. 1,40,306 crore and Rs. 1,25,639 crore respectively. IMPS provides robust and real time fund transfer service which offers an instant, 24X7, interbank electronic fund transfer service that could be accessed on multiple channels like Mobile, Internet, ATM, SMS and Branch. As on October 2018, total number of banks live on IMPS platform were 394.
