NPCI launches a loyalty program for offers and rewards across all the products

NPCI has launched its first-ever common platform for offers & loyalty program which serves as a dedicated platform to provide a uniform eco-system for rewarding users with exclusive offers and privileges.

The platform has been built with the sole purpose of enabling NPCI’s partner banks to access a common platform for reward offerings where partner banks can create customized campaigns for customers depending on their choice of payment modes and payment schemes. This platform will provide a simple means to engage with partner banks’ customers, across multiple channels and touch points. Banks can also manage their stand-alone loyalty programs with end to end rewards capabilities with 1000+ merchant partners.

Extending FASTag program across State and City toll plazas leads to convenience in toll payments for commuters

National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI)’s electronic toll collection NETC has gained momentum by securing 25% market share of the cash dominated toll collection system. NPCI had launched the NETC programme in December 2016 to meet the electronic tolling requirements of the Indian market.

In order to promote the program, National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and Indian Highways Management Company Limited (IHMCL) conducted a workshop on March 28 2019, to discuss and extend the FASTag services across all State Highways. IHMCL has come out with an attractive state onboarding policy, whereby they would be providing financial assistance to the state/city authority for implementation of FASTag program.

NPCI empowers mobility of Indians through ‘One Nation. One Card’ launch

Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi gave wings to the National Common Mobility Card Ecosystem by launching ‘One Nation. One Card’. The National Common Mobility Card, supported by RuPay platform facilitates multi-modal transit offline payment.

The National Common Mobility Card enables customers to make use of their existing Debit/Credit card for payments across all segments including metro, bus, suburban railways, toll, parking, smart city and retail. The stored value on card supports offline transaction across all travel needs with minimal financial risk for stakeholders. The service area feature of this card supports operator specific applications e.g. monthly passes, season tickets, etc.
