User Onboarding on UPI

Any individual having an account in bank and a mobile number linked to the account can onboard themselves on UPI through a mobile phone through below platforms.

  • BHIM Mobile Application.
  • UPI Bank PSP Apps.
  • UPI Compliant Apps (3rd party Apps).
  • *99# (USSD).
  • Mobile banking apps of each bank that support UPI.
  • 123Pay – UPI for feature phone and voice-based payments

For Onboarding of a customer 2 factors are authenticated that is mobile number registered in his/her bank and customer credentials for registering himself on UPI.

All banks willing to avail UPI services are required to ensure safe and secure registration process for their customers. The registration process should be complied with the guidelines issued by the RBI/NPCI from time to time.
