NPCI empowers mobility of Indians through ‘One Nation. One Card’ launch

Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi gave wings to the National Common Mobility Card Ecosystem by launching ‘One Nation. One Card’. The National Common Mobility Card, supported by RuPay platform facilitates multi-modal transit offline payment.

The National Common Mobility Card enables customers to make use of their existing Debit/Credit card for payments across all segments including metro, bus, suburban railways, toll, parking, smart city and retail. The stored value on card supports offline transaction across all travel needs with minimal financial risk for stakeholders. The service area feature of this card supports operator specific applications e.g. monthly passes, season tickets, etc

RuPay contactless cards launches at NMMT

National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has joined hands with Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport (NMMT) and HDFC Bank to launch Navi Cards. The card will enable Navi Mumbaikars and those travelling to the city to make use of the prepaid card to pay NMMT bus fares. Currently, the acceptance will be enabled only in selected routes. HDFC Bank is the first bank to issue cards to NMMT commuters. Customers can get these contactless cards over the counters of NMMT bus depot. Navi cards can be seamlessly used at retail outlets having POS terminals, E-commerce and ATMs.

Navi Cards are designed in line with the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) guidelines to offer secure, user friendly and cost effective solution to facilitate low value payments and build cashless transaction environment.
