Digisathi is a 24x7 helpline for information on digital payment products and services set up by NPCI on behalf of a consortium of payment system operators and participants (banks & non-banks). It was inaugurated by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shri Shaktikanta Das on March 8th, 2022, with the aim of contributing to the growth of digital payments and boosting the nation’s payments industry.
DigiSaathi is an automated response system that assists customers with their queries related to multiple products and services under the payments system umbrella. It helps users with their queries on digital payments through its website, chatbot facility, and toll-free calls. Users can dial or call out the options/products for which they require information. DigiSaathi is now available in 10 different languages- English, Hindi, Marathi, Kannada, Tamil, Bengali, Telugu, Gujarati, Punjabi and Malayalam
The Consortium of Payment System Operators and Participants, which includes ecosystem partners, banks, card networks, PPIs, fintechs, Payments Council of India (PCI), and Indian Banks’ Association (IBA), came together to implement DigiSaathi. This initiative aims to empower people to adopt digital payments with even more conviction, highlighting the importance of enhancing the diversity, utility, and transformational power of digital innovations in the country. These initiatives further deepen the digital ecosystem and financial inclusion.
