Mr. Madanjit Singh after completing BSc (Hons) Maths and MSc (Operational Research) from Delhi University joined Punjab National Bank as Management Trainee in 1976. Thereafter he worked in various capacities in several branches, Zonal Office and Zonal Training Centre of the Bank. In 1991 he was inducted in IT from where he moved to CPPD of the Bank. Mr Singh worked on several important IT related projects and during this time he was also associated in several committees of RBI/IDRBT including those relating to MICR and SFMS.

In 2004 he was posted to the London as Chief Representative of the Bank, where he took up the task of setting up PNBIL (Punjab National Bank international Ltd) {website: www.pnbint.com } the wholly owned subsidiary of PNB. The assignment included getting FSA approval, setting up the infrastructure, IT, policies & practices, recruitment of staff, and Board etc. He thereafter headed the subsidiary as Managing Director. In April 2009 he was posted back to India. Presently Mr Singh is the General Manager of Transaction Banking Division. He is also on the Board of NPCI.
