Shri Vipin Surelia is Head of Cheque Clearing for National Payments Corporation of India since June 2010. He has worked with Reserve Bank of India in various capacities. In his last assignment with the RBI, he was head of Banking in Bangalore. He has been associated with various Payments Systems Initiatives of RBI and was part of the RTGS Project team and Project Manager for the Cheque Truncation Project for the Pilot Project in the National Capital Region. Shri Surelia has also worked with HSBC India as part of their Global Payments and Cash Management team as Senior Vice President and with IBM as Solution Specialist for Payments. He is a graduate from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi and also holds a Management Degree in Finance.
