Shri Rajesh Prasad is Head – Projects of National Payments Corporation of India since July 2010. He has approximately 22 years of banking and technology experience spanning Canara Bank and ICICI Bank where he joined in October 2000. He has been part of technology since 1992.

Besides being responsible for multiple branch and other automation projects particularly in Canara Bank, in ICICI Bank, he has been primarily associated with / responsible for payment related systems including EFT/ATM Switch, Debit Cards, Point of Sale(PoS), Cash Management Systems (CMS), NEFT, RTGS, CTS, CTS, Clearing Systems, SWIFT etc. He also had short stint managing Call Centre and Corporate Centre technology teams in ICICI Bank. He has managed several projects in and around payment systems and EFT switch including first online DR system in 2001 for Base24 and introduction of smart card acquiring on ICICI PoS network.
